Detlef SölterDetlef Sölter studied Theatre History, Musicology and Voice. He started his directing career as assistant stage director at the Vienna State Opera, Royal Opera House Covent Garden, Deutsche Oper Berlin, English National Opera and was Resident Director for The Phantom of the Opera in Basel.

In 2000 Detlef won the audience prize for his Parsifal concept at the 2nd International Ring Award in Graz. From then on he started an international career as stage director for opera with so far more than 50 productions in Germany, Greece, Italy, Lithuania, Slovenia, Switzerland, Austria and Great Britain. He is also a successful coach for singers and has given many masterclasses, audition trainings and he enjoys giving private lessons and coaching for upcoming singers. He has worked as acting teacher and stage director at the conservatories of Lübeck, Dresden, Ljubljana. Since 2018 he teaches acting for singers at the University of Potsdam.
