Ross Sharkey is a singing teacher and Estill Master Trainer, instructing at some of the UK’s most prestigious and historical institutions. He is a Singing Professor on the postgraduate Musical Theatre course at the Royal Academy of Music, technical singing teacher for the boy choristers of Westminster Cathedral, and singing teacher at Eton College, and King’s College School, Wimbledon. His expertise in navigating the challenges of the changing boy’s voice has made him a respected figure in educational settings, and as an Estill Master Trainer, he brings a deep understanding of vocal technique, helping singers refine their craft with precision and confidence.

His previous teaching experience includes roles as a visiting lecturer in Musical Theatre at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, as well as a singing teacher at Mountview, Bird College, Trinity School (Croydon), and Director of Choral Music at Bromley High School.

His journey with Estill Voice Training began in 2011, culminating in his EMT qualification in 2018 under the mentorship of Anne-Marie Speed, Paul Farrington, and Kiereen Lock. He holds a BMus (Hons) in Vocal Studies, an endorsement in Community Music, and an MA in Musical Theatre Performance from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland (RCS), where he was awarded both a RCS Trust Scholarship and an Ian Fleming Musical Theatre Award.

Before dedicating himself fully to teaching, Ross enjoyed a career performing and recording at some of the industry’s most renowned venues, including The Royal Albert Hall, The London Coliseum, The National Theatre, and Abbey Road Studios. His performance credits include work with English National Ballet, The BBC Proms, Disney, EMI, The John Wilson Orchestra, and The Maida Vale Singers.
