Robert Meffe, Head of the SDSU MFA Musical Theatre Program, spent twenty-two years in New York City as a professional conductor, music director, keyboardist, orchestrator, arranger and music copyist.

Our faculty artists are regularly engaged as music directors, stage directors on the Broadway Stage, National Tours, and Regional Theaters. As educators, they bring passion to the training process and are committed to helping each student cultivate their unique strengths and develop outstanding performance skills.

Award-winning New York City director, Vincent is the Joseph Weinberger Chair of Acting for the Lyric Stage and the Patricia A. Corbett Distinguished Chair of Musical Theatre at the University of Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music.

Broadway award winning actor, Josh Grisetti currently serves as Associate Professor of Musical Theatre at California State University Fullerton.

Lauren is an international director and choreographer who is deeply rooted in the tradition of musical theatre but curious about moving the art form forward in a fresh and contemporary way.

Jack Holden has been a music director, keyboardist, and rehearsal pianist for many musicals including Cabaret, Chicago, Into the Woods, and The Last Five Years while also working for San Diego Musical Theatre Academy.
