The Opera Performance Studio is designed for talented young artists with a focus on ‘training through performance’. Each young artist is assigned a leading or supporting role in an operatic production that is led by world-class faculty artists and accompanied by the TMF Orchestra. In addition to fully staged operas, young artists perform in opera galas, concerts, and master classes. No other YAP provides the level of artistic excellence that you will find at the Trentino Music Festival.

EXCEPTIONAL FACULTY ARTISTS – The level of success of any YAP lies in their faculty. At the TMF all of our faculty have a wealth of knowledge and experience and stellar reputations in the opera profession. They are engaged by such leading institutions as the Metropolitan Opera, English National Opera, Atlanta Opera, Mannes School of Music, Cincinnati Conservatory of Music, Jacobs School of Music, Royal Conservatory, and the Dutch National Opera Academy.  

ROLE PERFORMANCE – Opera Performance Studio members are assigned a leading or supporting role to performed in a fully staged opera performance with orchestra. Each artist is provided with ample vocal coaching, language, and musical rehearsals to prepare their vocal assignments. All roles are either single or double cast. Artists singing supporting roles will be assigned roles in two operas.

VOCAL COACHING & LESSONS – Vocal coaching and voice lessons assist young artists to meet the technical, stylistic, and linguistic demands of the roles they are assigned. Coaching and lessons are all open format providing an extra level of proficiency for all participants.

MASTER CLASSES – Master Classes are an integral part of your training at the TMF and cover a wide variety of specialties including; Vocal Technique, Repertoire, Operatic Style, and Dramatic Interpretation.

AUDITION PACKAGES – Many wonderful singers never get past the audition process. At the TMF your audition package will be defined & refined by leading professionals. This includes proper bios and resumes, photos, repertoire that is marketable for your current level of accomplishment, language, dramatic presentation, and proper audition attire.

MANAGEMENT CONSULTATIONS & PROFESSIONAL AUDITIONS – The TMF is the only YAP in the world that is connected to an international artist management firm. Private consultations and group classes provide young artists with first hand knowledge of what can be a very complicated career path. Management firms attending past festivals include Piper Artists Management, Stage Door Artist Management, Melos Opera Management, BIAM Artist Management, and Boris Orlob Artist Management.

TUITION – The Trentino Music Festival is the most comprehensive YAP in the world today. If you compare the TMF with any other leading YAP you will find that our tuition is well below what other less established programs charge.  Tuition for the 5 week session is a low $3,995.

HOUSING – Housing for young artists is provided in hotels and fully furnished apartments. Housing costs for the 5 week session is $1,450.

FEES – Registration/Administrative Fee $250.
