Opera Studio – Imagine spending your summer performing opera in the heart of the Italian Dolomites.
The Trentino Music & Dance Festival brings together a select group of emerging artists for an immersive training and performance experience designed to help you take the next step in your career. Whether you’re currently in music school, a young artist program, or an emerging professional, you’ll work alongside an internationally acclaimed faculty and collaborate with talented singers from around the world.
Perform in fully staged productions with a professional orchestra while receiving individualized voice lessons, coaching, master classes, and comprehensive musical and staging training. Every aspect of the program is designed to strengthen your artistry, expand your experience, and prepare you for today’s operatic landscape.
Beyond the performance hall, you’ll experience the culture, history, and beauty of Northern Italy. Located near Venice, Verona, and Lake Garda, the festival offers the opportunity to perform for European audiences, build an international network of colleagues, and experience opera in the country where so much of its history began.

Industry Week – Presenting Yourself for Success, featuring leading managers and industry experts.
Role Performance – Opera Studio members are assigned leading or supporting roles to perform in staged opera performance with orchestra.
Vocal Coaching & Voice Lessons – Through personalized vocal coaching and lessons, young artists gain the tools to meet the technical, stylistic, and linguistic demands of their roles with confidence. Our open-format approach encourages growth and collaboration, helping every participant reach new levels of skill and artistry.
Master Classes – Master Classes cover a wide variety of specialties including; Vocal Technique, Repertoire, Operatic Style, and Dramatic Interpretation.
Industry Week – In the final week you will sing for managers, and industry experts, to Define & Refine your audition package. Whether for upcoming auditions, graduate schools, or professional companies, we will shape your audition package from crafting the perfect bio and résumé to selecting appropriate repertoire, perfecting diction, and elevating stage presence. Every detail is shaped to make you shine.
Location – Set in the heart of Northern Italy offers an inspiring balance of art, culture, and natural beauty. With Venice, Verona, and Lake Garda just a short journey away, participants can spend their free time exploring Italy’s historic treasures or embracing the outdoors amid the majestic Dolomites.

AUDITIONS:
To apply, click “Apply Now!” and fill out the application and attach your audition video. Videos should include three arias of contrasting styles that represent your technical and dramatic skills. One aria must be in Italian.

Robin Blauers’ directed the European Premiere of Mark Adamo’s Little Women at the Stadsschouwburg in Bruges, Belgium.
Jose Maria Condemi
Stage Director
José's upcoming directing engagements include Rigoletto for San Francisco Opera, Salome for San Diego Opera, Tosca for Cincinnati Opera, and Così fan Tutte at the Academy of Vocal Arts. In August 2025 he takes up the post of Associate Professor of Opera at UC College-Conservatory of Music.
